| From humble but energetic beginnings, Benson-Orth Associates, Inc. (BOA) commenced business in 1969 from the basement of Ken Benson's home in Golden Valley, MN. With Bob Orth running the field operations and Ken in charge of sales and development of commercial and industrial buildings, the general contracting firm flourished and grew steadily for more than 20 years. Since that time, BOA has completed hundreds of projects including office/warehouse buildings, strip shopping centers, foundries, single and multi-story office and medical buildings, auto dealerships, motels, and heavy manufacturing buildings. Every year we are involved in projects ranging from small additions (5000 sq.ft.) to large new corporate facilities (400,000 sq.ft.) and everything in between. In 1993, with Bob Orth long retired, Mr. Benson mentored a new generation into the industry by selling the company to a local real estate broker and assembling a new team of experts poised to grow in the new business climate.
With new ideas, energy, and the in-depth knowledge of the entire relocation process, this team, led by Mike Monson, will take the business to new heights based upon the strong foundation of honesty and high integrity in every facet of the business.
We are proud of our strong reputation within the industry. At Benson-Orth we enjoy a good relationship with our subcontractors, lending institutions and others involved in the construction industry. We are well known in the building community for completing a project on schedule. Having done several of our own developments we know how important holding down interim costs can be.
