Mendota Plaza New Retail Expansion - Tenant Space - July 28th

The month of August looks like it going to be very busy for Benson-Orth. We are putting final touches on Audubon Crossing in Minneapolis and recently completed a new Walgreens in Roseville. Take a few minutes to read about these project updates as well as view the related progress photos.
Project Updates…
Richfield Retail – Andale Taqueria & Mercado – Benson-Orth will be starting a grocery/market expansion and restaurant remodel at SW corner of 77th & Nicollet Avenue in Richfield.The former Embers restaurant building is being re-developed into the Andale Taqueria & Mercado (restaurant and market).
MendotaPlaza – Benson-Orth is progressing rapidly on the renovations to the MendotaPlaza in MendotaHeights for Paster Enterprises. The exterior facelift is well underway and a new Walgreens store will be starting in mid-August after demo of the end-cap of the center. Despite a very active "construction zone", all of the retailers are open for business.
Total Hockey –The first TwinCity location for Total Hockey (www.totalhockey.net) is scheduled to open on August 5th in Maplewood.Benson-Orth has recently started interior demolition in preparation for the tenant build-out for a second store in Minnetonka.
Frogtown Square and Kings Crossing– Precast columns and plank are being set currently on Frogtown Square. The project is located on the northeast corner of University and Dale in St. Paul. The two components of the project include 50-units of senior housing with underground parking and a 10,000 SF retail component on main level with on grade parking.
Audubon Crossing – Final interior clean-up and landscaping work are being completed prior to turn-over in early August. The three-story, 30-unit apartment project is being developed by MetroPlains Development in northeast Minneapolis (behind Holy Land Bakery on Central Ave.)
Walgreens – Benson-Orth is proceeding quickly on a new store in Rochester that is expected to be turned over in early fall.And we are gearing up for construction starts for stores in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul as well as in Colorado Springs and Centennial, Colorado in August.
